Tips to prevent the spread the Coronavirus

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has spread through communities in many countries now. The world is now grieving due to COVID-19 coronavirus with Italy, Spain, and the USA, the worst affected countries. This very infectious & till-date untreatable disease COVID-19 is gripping us day by day. The virus is also known as the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). This virus originated from a wet market in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei China and spread globally.
The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva, from the nose of an infected person when he/she coughs or sneezes, so it’s critical to avoid close contact with people. The best approach to fight this spread is to practice social distancing.

So what is Social Distancing?

Social distancing puts space among people, thus making them stay in their homes. When infected people stay away from others and public spaces, they can’t pass it to anyone else. This way, fewer people get infected by the virus at the same time. Thus, doctors and hospitals are better able to treat those who need care.
Social distancing can be done in different ways, depending on how many people in the community/locality are sick. Some of the social distancing methods include:

  • closing places where people gather
  • not getting together in person with friends
  • not going to stores unless it is necessary
  • working from home
  • not taking public transportation, including buses, subways.

Researchers say that SARS-CoV-2’s rapid spread is likely due to the movement of people who are unaware that they even have the virus. That is why social distancing is such an important containment measure during these times.
We can still be social, even during these tough and testing times. By taking advantage of technology such as social media and video apps to support each other, laugh together, and take care of each other until the virus is under control or there is a vaccine.

“Good Things Take Time”

In a world which moves so fast and so smooth, it’s difficult to stop by and have a re-look. Never before today has the world stopped moving, today a global health pandemic has put a brake to normal life across the world. The outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19), an infectious respiratory disease caused by virus spreads primarily through contact with an infected person through cough or sneeze.

Nobody today has the answers to the disease that has created havoc around the world with over 4 Million+ people directly affected and nearly 18,000+ deaths, although 100,000 people recovered. The entire world is in a kind of lock down, with the global economy expecting a recession anytime soon.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says it would take another 10 – 12 months before a human vaccine is available for treatment. Although human trails for the vaccine has started in USA and Canada – but even if everything goes well and a cure is found, there are many barriers before global immunization is feasible and available for all.

Now is the time to stay home and maintain social distancing and break the chain of spread of corona virus. But as they say “Good things take time”, we all should believe the scientists and researcher will soon be able to clear all the stages and get a vaccine for the treatment of this deadly virus which has similar symptoms of flu. We all need to be positive, calm and believe in the fact that “Good things are slow to come”.

The Artistic Soul Photos is thankful to all the doctors, nurses, paramedics, delivery guys, emergency services and all others who are putting their lives at risk and there for all of us at the first line of attack.

Stay Home! Stay Safe!
