Abstract

Abstract Photography is also called non-objective, experimental, conceptual or concrete photography, is a means of depicting a visual image that doesn’t have an immediate association with the object world. It has been created through the use of photographic equipment, processes or materials.

Formally expressing, abstract photography is a method of representing ideas and emotions without the intention of creating a traditional or realistic image. By avoiding or going beyond the usual representations of an object or scene, the captured shots reveal details that are normally ignored and hence, triggers the viewer’s imagination.

Abstract Photography renders the subject unreal & abnormal. The subject reduces to only shape, light, texture, or color. Abstract photographed items & subjects are objects we use in our everyday life or created entirely for art.

Abstract Photography doesn’t have any strict photography rules like other niches like portrait or nature photography do. Contrary to widespread belief, it isn’t difficult to capture abstract images. It’s just a matter of gaining a better understanding of abstract photography and letting your creative spirits flow.
